Autobody Career and Cars

I started in Autobody in Calgary, around 1980. Unlike when I was doing house framing for one winter, It was great to be working indoors when it's cold. After a year, I could ask the boss for a favor, and got my Grandmas car in for a nice paintjob. I did all the sanding and masking, so I got a good discount.
After that I got my 1966 Impala in, and painted it a deep plum color.
Couple years later, sold that, then bought a 69 Olds Cutlass. I selected a very nice copper gold metallic finish.
Around 1985 I got a 1973 Dodge Charger. 318 motor. Probably the fastest car I owned.
One time, going up to Red Deer, I had it up to 140 miles per hour, and it was smooooth riding.
I got a '81 El Camino. I was thinking I need the truck bed to move drums, band equipment, and other stuff.
Painted it PURE white, and made a large firebird-like ANGEL pinstripe on the hood..
1990 bought a 1977 corvette. It was in an accident and have 1/3 of the back torn off. I learned fiberglassing at my work, so bought a rear clip from a wreckers, and spliced it together.
I had it for one summer then sold it because I couldn't store it for the winter without costing me $$$.
So I got a 1984 Trans Am, with T-roofs. Nice for the summer.
But, around then I moved to BC for one winter. Had to get knobby winter tires to survice the icy roads there.
For a long time, I had a Dodge Caravan. Very useful to carry all my stuff. Back then I was teaching swordfighting, making armour, and managing Valentine Armouries.
Eventually I sold it before I moved to USA around 2011.
Once in Vegas, I decided for a while to drive UBER and LYFT. So I got a white 4-door Taurus.
After putting on miles and miles and miles on my white Taurus, I had to get another for rideshare.
Another white car, a VW Passat. Nice. People really liked it.
Then I finally quit rideshare, and got a real job around 2020. I got another Passat, but this time silver.
I still have this one in 2024.
