Flying like in a dream.
Dream pod is a 180 degree viewing, 3D experience, virtual tourist, with no goggle headset.
Build a pod approx. 8x8, video screens 180 degree wrap-around viewing. Up to four people in a single pod can experience a 25 minute adventure. Go to Great Pyramids, Eiffel Tower, London, Vegas strip, or ... fantasy worlds like Tolkiens elves and dwarves, or Harry Potter.
I first realized the potential of this idea when I saw some computer Gamers flight simulator setups. With the right hardware it looks like a real, million dollar, flight simulator, but in your own gaming room. This setup is too expensive for most people, just like you can't buy your own plane to go parachuting, but you can pay for the experience. If you go to the best gaming conventions you can see some of the best 3D simulation, multi-monitor arrangement that a super-tech computer engineer can create.

The pod design.
I think it'll be a more unique experience if you created an actual geodesic angular space-looking pod that you enter through the back door. Inside is 2 or 4 seats, and the front main seat is where the controller is mounted on a small table. The video screens wrap about 120°. When the door is closed, there's no outside noise or distractions, and this creates an immersive experience.
The controller.
You start the program by being on the ground. Your pod will virtually rise up, and the pilot can fly anywhere within a set boundary. Unlike a real flight simulator, this pod gently floats along with no harsh stopping or starting, and gentle ( virtual) banking left and right. For the 3D Computer World, can go almost anywhere. If it's a live action film then the controls are limited to 5 or 10 paths or corridors that you can explore. Remember we'd have to film all of these paths, and have junctions where you can choose left or right, for example. We're lucky that in 2024 we could just purchase the highest resolution camera drone and fly it where we want.
