Sheet steel artist
Mich (Mitch) has been working with wood and sheet metal for over 30 years, starting as a car body repairman, then customizing car parts.
Introduced to film prop making more than fifteen years ago, he has created many pieces for films. Mich worked at Valentine Armouries in Calgary making full steel armour replicas, and props for such films as: 'Underworld: Evolution' (2005), and 'Beowulf and Grendel' (2006).
Mich works in a studio in Las Vegas, creating hand-hammered steel art. His vision is to explore themes from old victorian ironworks and their fantastic steam machines and far into the imagined future of the 50's 'atomic age'.
